It’s seeing yourself, accepting yourself, and being with what’s here.
That, is what it means to come home to yourself.

I’ve been teaching yoga and movement for nearly a decade, learning again and again that healing begins with awareness— with noticing how you meet yourself.
My work blends yoga, Pilates, and Reiki through a trauma-informed lens. Each practice is an invitation to slow it down, listen inward, and build rapport with the body so that movement becomes a conversation, not a command.

About Marlies
Hi, I’m Marlies — a dedicated and experienced yoga teacher with a deep love for movement, community, and creating spaces that feel safe enough to soften into. My teaching journey began long before my certification in 2017, rooted in a lifelong relationship with movement as a competitive figure skater. By 2018, I stepped fully into the role of a full-time yoga teacher. As of today, I am a 500HRYT (and counting) with over 7,000 teaching hours. In 2023, I was selected to take over a well-established Yoga Teacher Training Program at White Oaks Club in Niagar-on-the-Lake.
My classes are grounded in a trauma-sensitive lens and blend traditional yoga postures with Pilates-inspired strength and fluidity. Whether we’re moving slow or building heat, my intention is always the same: to offer a welcoming, inclusive space where you can explore your body with curiosity and care.
I have over 10 years of experience being a Reiki healer, gaining the title of Master in 2022. Classically trained, I provide Reiki services in a way that makes you feel safe, sound, and harmonized, while staying true to Reiki’s original methodologies. I provide Reiki services in-clinic, in-home, and house calls.
